How do I close out my study & what happens next?


Closeout Study

A research study may be closed under the following circumstances and conditions:

1. There is no further interaction or intervention with subjects, including follow-up
    or access to personally identifiable information; AND
2. Either of the following are true:

a. Data analysis is complete; OR
b. Data has been de-identified, with no codes or keys that would
    allow for the potential of identifying individuals in the future.


Investigators may close their study with completion and submission of the Closeout Report located in the Tool kit to the right.

When you have completed all applicable forms, please submit them to the email address listed under 'Contact us' to the left.

 

Closeout by the Investigator

If a study is closed by an investigator, it may be reactivated within 6 months of closure. To reactivate a study after 6 months of closure, a new application will be required by filing a formal request with the IRB.
