KC v4.0 is Coming!
Here is a snapshot of what’s new in KC v4.0:
  • In the Proposal Development Document, on the Personnel Tab, a new checkbox will exist for Multiple Principal Investigators;
  • In the Personnel Tab, additional information can be populated in the new Extended Details sub-panel;
  • A field to enter total direct cost limit is now available if an agency specifies a limit on budget spending. The total direct cost limit excludes F&A;
  • In the Budget Parameters Tab, a new checkbox will exist to identify if cost share is being submitted overall, and within the line-item details;
  • Once a proposal is submitted, a new “Return to Portal” button is available to return the user to the KC entry screen within OneStart;
  • The PI Certification Questions have a new format; same questions – just easier to read and;
  • The Print Forms panel has a new view allowing users to select individual forms to print. The actual forms will be available in future releases.

KC v4.0 Information Sessions scheduled for July

The goal of the KC v4.0 Information Sessions is to present details of the system upgrade from KC v3.0.1 (the version that is currently in production) to KC v4.0. These 60 minute information sessions are designed to give users a look at what is coming in KC v4.0 later this summer!

Please note, the information sessions are being conducted at both the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses. We look forward to seeing you at either location.

Kuali Coeus Tips
INSTITUTIONAL REPORTS
TIPFiscal Year 2013 institutional reports will incorporate KC intellectual credit allocation.

Starting with July 2012 reports, all FY 2013 institutional reports reflecting sponsored proposal activity will allocate proposal dollars based upon the intellectual credit allocation in Kuali Coeus. A notable exception to this change is that the BIRT Drill Down Reports (Business Intelligence Reporting Tool) will only reflect primary PI and organization in terms of proposal dollar allocation, consistent with past practice. The BIRT reports will implement intellectual credit split with the KC/KFS conversion in December 2012.
