The Indiana University Health Board of Directors is pleased to announce the availability of 2013 – 2014 Values Fund grants for:
- Medical Research
- Medical Education
- The Integration of Religious and Spiritual Dimension in Health Care.
Eligible applicants include employees of the IU Health Academic Health Center (AHC) and/or those with IU Health medical staff (including physicians and health professionals with admitting privileges at IU Health AHC (i.e. IU Health University, Saxony and Methodist hospitals and Riley at IU Heath). Please check the practitioner’s privileges link in Pulse to see if you qualify as having medical staff privileges at AHC hospitals. See Pulse > Resources > Practitioner Privileges.
The Medical Research and the Medical Education grant application due date is noon, Monday, Oct. 15, with funding beginning in the early to mid-spring on or about May 1, 2013. These are two-year awards for $100,000. Successful awardees are required to submit timely interim/first-year and final reports by their due dates detailing any peer-reviewed articles published, any external funding obtained as a result of the Values Fund award and explain how the grant has been of benefit to IU Health.
Open informational sessions will be held in which applicants may ask questions and learn more about the Values Fund application process at the following dates/times and locations.

Applications for The Integration of Religious and Spiritual Dimensions in Health Care grants are due by noon on Monday, Oct. 15. A one-page letter of intent is required to be submitted for all potential applicants, and this letter of intent and any questions you have regarding these grants should be addressed to the attention of Steven Ivy, PhD, Sr. Vice President, Values Ethics, Social, Responsibility & Pastoral Services and sent to his administrative assistant, Nicole Veal, who can be reached at 317.962.3591 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Contact by Monday, Aug. 27. Funding will begin on or about March 1, 2013.
