A new website has been created to publish in one central location, information pertaining to sponsored awards at Indiana University. Direct links are provided to the research offices in Bloomington and at IUPUI, as well The Research & University Graduate School, Contract and Grant Administration and The Office of Technology Transfer. By accessing the links one can easily gain pre-award and post-award information on such topics as proposal development, funding opportunities, submission forms, research compliance, annual reports, faculty research interests, Important Notices, agency guidelines, university polices and procedures, patents awarded, Federal circulars, etc. Special research announcements are also posted. Responding to your numerous requests, Financial Management Services has developed a website specifically designed for Indiana University Project Directors. The new website offers financial information related to proposals and awards, and all reports are customized to the Project Director name that you select upon entering the system. From this website a Project Director can view an account list, see all awards from a specific agency, and receive an expense summary by budget category for each account. Enhancements to the new system are in progress that will allow the user to drill down into specific expense detail. Reports currently in development by FMS include an Income Summary, an Aged Receivables Report, and a Current and Pending Support Report. The Project Director Reports can be accessed from the above URL.

and research administrators to take advantage of this web-based application.
A password for the Financial Data Retrieval System (FDRS) is required to
access the Project Director Reports. You
may register for a password through the Project Director Reports website.
Turnaround time for receiving a password is two working days, provided
that an IU user agreement is on file. System
requirements include an Internet connection and either Netscape 3.0 or Internet
Explorer 3.0 (or greater).
Your comments or suggestions for the reports, or any aspect of Contract and Grant Administration, can be made directly from the website.
