Many of you continue to request that Contract and Grant Administration create advance accounts prior to awards being received. We are happy to do this, but must require certain information from you so that the University can ensure that expenses will be covered in the event an award is not received.
In order to request an advance account (or "underwrite"), the following information is required:
Authorization by e-mail or memo by the account manager or account supervisor of the account underwriting the funds is required. This means the request MUST come from one of those two people.
If we do not receive this information, we will need to contact the requester to ask for it, which will delay the creation of the account.
